Some times you get the error message saying

"asp.net development server failed to start listening on port"" 
Here is solution:

  1. You have installed Anti-Virus like Eset on your machine. Mature anti-virus software comes with built in functionality to block
    traffic In bound / out bound from unknown applications like add dev server.
  2. You need to setup rules in your anti-virus software to allow Asp.net development server to communicate with your internal
    applications and external web servers.
  3. In case of Avast, disable it for 10min or 1hr and run the application.

  4. Same way you can temporary disable the antivirus and run applications or setup rules in it.
